The CURT class 3 trailer hitch is the most common type of trailer hitch installed on full-size pickup trucks and SUVs. It is also found on full-size cars, crossover SUVs, minivans and mid-size trucks. That is because the class 3 packs the punch of a heavyweight hitch while still staying light on its feet. This CURT class 3 hitch offers a gross trailer weight capacity of 3,500 lbs. and a comparable tongue weight capacity of 350 lbs. It is designed to be a custom-fit trailer hitch for certain years of the Honda CRV (to verify your vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide at curtmfg.com). It features a round tube frame and comes with all necessary hardware for a complete installation.
The 2" x 2" receiver tube opening of this class 3 hitch is able to accept a hitch-mounted accessory, such as a bike rack or cargo carrier, or a ball mount to tow most standard size trailers, including utility trailers, single-horse livestock trailers, boat trailers and large campers (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component).
CURT class 3 trailer hitches are engineered to be strong and capable, having a quality steel frame and a solid finish. They are put through strenuous testing before being deemed ready for market and come with two coatings -- a liquid Bonderite coating and a powder coat in high-gloss black -- that cure together to form a strong resistance against rust, scratching, UV damage and other wear. Our hitches are our pride, and as such, we back them up with a limited lifetime warranty and a one-year finish warranty.
Electrical Connectors are vehicle specific.

hitch 13555 review
I live in Erie PA and have had this hitch for 4 years. It is well built and works well in every way. However the powder coating has peeled off on approximately 85 % of the surface and severe corrosion has resulted. My CRV has no other corrosion. I have removed the hitch to blast, phosphate dip and paint it properly. I have blasted to SSPC-SP6 and found severe pitting. I will blast to SP 10 and finish recoating this weekend. Love the hitch but the finish has resulted in a poor product.
The hitch for my wife's 2008 CR-V arrived in two days! The packaging was excellent and the instructions were simple and easy. I used a modified copper-tubing brush to clean out the bolt holes; that being the most difficult part of the whole installation. Make sure you have a small-diameter wire brush and some WD-40 or similar. Thanks for a well-built, well-fitting product!!
I bought a hitch #13555 for my 2009 Honda CRV. I put it on myself in a little under an hour, with very little problems. The instructions were great.
The hitch lined up perfectly. I installed the hitch and wiring in about 45 minutes by myself using only a ratchet, three sockets, and a torque wrench. This is a great product as is the wiring kit.
hitch for a crv
( Done one year ago) I am handy but this was too easy. I recomend wd40 for the exhaust hanger and a helper to support the hitch. I'm in Canada and delivery was in two days. All in all I'm a happy camper.
13555 hitch & 55106 T-Connector
This is a great, heavy-duty hitch and an easy to install t-connector. I'm 60 and never installed a hitch or wiring, but the instructional videos helped considerably. I worked alone, without jacking up our CR-V. It took less than half an hour for the connector. I recommend using a ball or something similar to keep the side panel wedged far enough away from the car so you can work down inside with both hands. (The power plug moves with the panel.) The hitch took longer because the wire brush I used to clean out the holes in the frame didn't do the job. I had to stop in the middle, remove the partially installed hitch, and go to the hardware store for a 10mm fine thread tap to remove six plus years of corrosion. After that, the install went off without a hitch, so to speak, and the hitch fit perfectly.
2007 Honda cr-v hitch
This hitch fits perfect on my 2007 CRV. Only took 25 minutes to install. Make sure you screw in the four bolts first before the final installation to make it easier on you.
A happy customer!!!!!
I just installed a CURT #13555 hitch on my 2011 Honda CR-V. The fit was perfect; I say again the fit was perfect!! I installed the hitch by myself using a jack and a couple of jack stands. I am 75 years old and have installed trailer hitches before that were not as easy as your hitch because all the holes never lined up. Thank you for a great product! Also a good looking product. A happy customer!!!!!
