Driving the family up to the campground? Hauling tools and equipment from the home improvement store? Pulling your boat to the nearby swimming hole? Whatever your destination and whatever trailer you're towing, Bring It® with a CURT trailer hitch!
CURT class 3 trailer hitches are designed, built and tested to accommodate a wide variety of towing applications. They are used on everything from full-size cars, vans and crossovers to light-duty pickup trucks and SUVs. Class 3 trailer hitches are perfect for towing fishing boat trailers, popup campers, ATV trailers, utility trailers and much more. They are also ideal for adding storage space to your vehicle with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component).
Each CURT class 3 hitch is engineered to fit on a specific vehicle. This provides the best possible fit and easiest installation. This particular custom class 3 hitch fits specific years of the Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Vue (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide or use the Vehicle Lookup tool). It is designed to integrate with the vehicle's existing features and offer a reliable connection to your trailer.
This Chevy / Pontiac / Saturn / GMC hitch is stringently tested in accordance with SAE J684 to ensure a weight carrying capacity of 3,500 lbs. gross trailer weight and 350 lbs. tongue weight. It is compatible with a weight distribution hitch to provide more stable towing and a weight distribution rating of 4,000 lbs. WD and 400 lbs. WDTW. It also features a 2" receiver tube opening to accept ball mount or other hitch accessory with a 2" x 2" shank.
From class 1 to class 5, all CURT custom-fit receiver hitches are made in the USA to ensure quality from design to finish (may include imported hardware). They are designed with hands-on engineering for a precise fit. They are welded using a combination of manual and robotic operations for speed and accuracy. Finally, they are finished with our unique co-curing process. Each hitch is dipped in a liquid A-coat for rust prevention, inside and out, and then co-cured in a durable black powder coat finish for maximum rust, chip and UV resistance.
Every CURT custom hitch design is thoroughly tested at our in-house testing facility in Detroit, MI. We adhere to the proposed SAE J684 testing protocols to make sure that the hitch you mount on your vehicle will be a dependable means to enjoy your lifestyle.
Whatever your passion -- whether it's hunting, fishing, camping, offroading or hard work -- you can expect reliability for the road ahead. All CURT custom hitches are covered by a limited lifetime warranty to give you confidence in each adventure, season after season.

Curt is really a high quality product, and good rust protection coating(s). No shipping issues that others indicated.Product fit tightly in box, arrived UPS and hitch was in perfect shape, even though box got a bit beat up.Fit perfectly, easy to install, good instructions. (also YouTube has videos). Wiring on the Terrain was there, just plug in Curt connector. Very happy with it all.

No problem with packaging; purchased through local CARQUEST and it arrived in mint condition. Install was easy; nice tight fit. Took 1 hour including removing the older Class 2 hitch. Hoist not required. We used a set of ramps which gave ample room for the installation. Finished look is nice and clean.

Like another poster indicated, packaging is woefully inadequate but arrived the only a few dings in the black coating. Insanely over-priced on the Curt site.
Don't be suprised if the (4) bolts that tie the hitch into the "frame" rails don't want to thread in to the weld-nuts, as a lot of road debris gets kicked up into this area and gets trapped in these nuts. Needed to use several stainless plumbers brushes, a good a amount of penetrating oil, a few hours to clean out the weld-nuts. Ended up with several bloody knuckles getting the nuts cleaned out.
Get a u-boot based hitch tightener from A****n to eliminate the rattle from the play between the receiver tube and the ball mount, or be prepared for a lot of clunking from the rear end as you drive down the road. -
First thing is it is wa-a-a-ay overpriced on this site. I bought through Amazon and paid only $128.90 for the hitch and the 56094 connector . The packaging is woefully inadequate. Heavy cardboard box, but the sharp metal corners broke right through. The package had to travel only about 300 miles via UPS from Wixom, MI to Indianapolis, IN. The box had several holes and I feared that it may have lost the hardware and/or the electrical connector. Luckily everything was still there.
It was shipped quickly and I got it two days after I placed my order. Outstandig shipping service. The product was as advertised, and installation for the hitch and electrical connector was easy and the instructions were spot on. I did use blue Loctite on the bolts to help keep them from unthreading, although the provided washers should do the job.
The product is as advertised, seems to be of vey solid construction. It functions as it should and the electrical connection works flawlessly. I recommend this product as a quality item, but suggest it should be better padded for shipping.
