Driving the family up to the campground? Hauling tools and equipment from the home improvement store? Pulling your boat to the nearby swimming hole? Whatever your destination and whatever trailer you're towing, Bring It® with a CURT trailer hitch!

CURT class 3 trailer hitches are designed, built and tested to accommodate a wide variety of towing applications. They are used on everything from full-size cars, vans and crossovers to light-duty pickup trucks and SUVs. Class 3 trailer hitches are perfect for towing fishing boat trailers, popup campers, ATV trailers, utility trailers and much more. They are also ideal for adding storage space to your vehicle with a hitch-mounted cargo carrier or bike rack (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component).

Each CURT class 3 hitch is engineered to fit on a specific vehicle. This provides the best possible fit and easiest installation. This particular custom class 3 hitch fits specific years of the Toyota Tacoma (to verify vehicle compatibility, see the CURT application guide or use the Vehicle Lookup tool). It is designed to integrate with the vehicle's existing features and offer a reliable connection to your trailer.

This Toyota Tacoma hitch is stringently tested in accordance with SAE J684 to ensure a weight carrying capacity of 6,000 lbs. gross trailer weight and 900 lbs. tongue weight. It is compatible with a weight distribution hitch to provide more stable towing and a weight distribution rating of 8,000 lbs. WD and 900 lbs. WDTW. It also features a 2" receiver tube opening to accept ball mount or other hitch accessory with a 2" x 2" shank.

From class 1 to class 5, all CURT custom-fit receiver hitches are made in the USA to ensure quality from design to finish (may include imported hardware). They are designed with hands-on engineering for a precise fit. They are welded using a combination of manual and robotic operations for speed and accuracy. Finally, they are finished with our unique co-curing process. Each hitch is dipped in a liquid A-coat for rust prevention, inside and out, and then co-cured in a durable black powder coat finish for maximum rust, chip and UV resistance.

Every CURT custom hitch design is thoroughly tested at our in-house testing facility in Detroit, MI. We adhere to the proposed SAE J684 testing protocols to make sure that the hitch you mount on your vehicle will be a dependable means to enjoy your lifestyle.

Whatever your passion -- whether it's hunting, fishing, camping, offroading or hard work -- you can expect reliability for the road ahead. All CURT custom hitches are covered by a limited lifetime warranty to give you confidence in each adventure, season after season.

    Easy install

Took me about 40 minutes start to finish. I am 140 pounds and 65 years old. I was able to install myself by using my hydraulic jack to lift it into position and hold it while I installed the bolts and torqued to specification. I did not remove the spare tire or any other bumper part. I also have good professional Snap-on sockets and ratchets. The first “fish through” took about 10 minutes, the second one took less than 2 minutes. The fit is fairly precision, all bolts lined up perfectly with ease.

    more like 90 minutes

If you can follow instructions, have patience, and are handy with tools, you will not have much trouble. Otherwise visit your local mechanic. The bumper beam bolts DO fit with the spacer. The bumper does NOT have to be partially disassembled. It took me a half hour to get the first one through the hole and 2 minutes on the second one. As another reviewer pointed out, you will need to drop the spare tire in order to get at the rear bolt tight to the frame rail. There is not enough room even with a wobble socket. Take your time and do it right. You will be happy with the results. Dave, ASE CMAT

Take a Deep Breath and Follow the Instructions

Very nice hitch and looked clean on my new 2019 Tacoma. Fishing the bolts might offer a challenge. The guy on the video must have installed a hundred hitches to develop his quickness. The Toyota bumper frame contains a metal screw which impedes the washer-bolt from reaching the target hole. After an hour of semi-bad language, I pulled the washer away from the bolt but still on the wire. The bolt could then slip around that bumper metal screw. I then angled the bolt through the washer and finally through the target hole. I am satisfied with the apparent quality and will use Curt for additional accessories.

Follow the video and it works fine

SOLID hitch receiver. Installation wasn't that bad.
    1) yes fishing the spacer and bolt can be a bit fiddly but all parts are necessary. Don't skip the spacer. A bit of patience, maybe some pliers plus fingers and jiggling to manipulate the spacer and the bolt goes through. If you get frustrated, go make a cup of tea and come back to it.
    2) If you don't have a friend nearby, have a jack handy to lift the receiver to the chassis.
    3) Drop the spare tire to access the bolts with the torque wrench.

Good hitch, but fishing the hardware through sucked

This was a good sturdy hitch; very solid, and east to install...EXCEPT... at least on the Tacoma, it is impossible to fish the spacer and the bolt down the hole in the frame. Getting them to the hole isn't so bad, but through the hole?... no way! Disappointing, and a colossal time-sucker before I finally have up. I had to pull the bolt through with no spacer, and hope the nut would tighten without spinning the bolt. Thankfully it did.

    Hardware

This is not a 20 minute pro job. The hardware included has to be modified to fit the existing bumper holes, the rear bumper has to be partially disassembled to install.
