CURT offers two OEM-style gooseneck hitches built specifically for Ram 2500 or 3500 pickup trucks. These hitches are unique because they do not require additional installation brackets. They bolt directly onto the vehicle's factory cross-member and use pre-existing bolt holes to install in 45 minutes or less. Each OEM-style Ram hitch comes with a factory-style gooseneck ball and all the necessary hardware for a complete installation.
This Ram OE gooseneck hitch offers a gross trailer weight capacity of 30,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 7,500 lbs. to make it easy to tow everything from farm animals on your livestock trailer to industrial materials on a flatbed. It features a 4" diameter trailer ball hole and comes with a factory-style 2 5/16" gooseneck trailer ball that can be installed and removed easily, whenever necessary. To ensure that this Ram gooseneck hitch has what it takes to keep up with you and your truck, it also comes with a durable carbide powder coat finish for excellent rust resistance, built-in safety chain anchors for reliable safety, and a limited lifetime warranty for peace of mind. While the hitch is well made and works fine once installed, installation is a major hassle because the location of the mounting holes make it almost impossible to hold the bolt with your fingers to get the threads on the mounting bolts to catch. If your engineers were required to actually install some of your hitches they would make a simple improvement. Put a smooth section on the business end of the bolts to guide them into the threaded hole on the frame. This simple improvement would greatly simplify mounting the hitch or remounting it after removal. That is my situation. I've spent over 30 frustrating minutes trying to get the GD bolts to screw into the frame. You could promote this feature to separate your hitches from other suppliers.
