When you purchase a 5th wheel trailer hitch, you expect it to be capable of towing your RV, flatbed or whatever other 5th wheel trailer you own. While a 5th wheel hitch does offer an impressive amount of towing strength, it cannot get far without the proper installation equipment. Engineered for specific makes and models, CURT custom 5th wheel brackets provide the ideal solution for complementing the power of your 5th wheel trailer hitch.
A custom 5th wheel bracket features a shape that contours to the frame of your truck and uses pre-drilled holes in the frame wherever possible to make installation quick and easy. Depending on your model of pickup truck, they also reduce or eliminate the need for drilling. These particular custom 5th wheel brackets offer a custom fit for certain model years of the Ram 2500 and 3500 and Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 (see application info to verify fitment).
Finished in a durable liquid A-coat, CURT custom 5th wheel brackets are made to last. They include all necessary mounting hardware and are designed to be used in conjunction with CURT industry-standard 5th wheel base rails #16104 or #16204 (base rails sold separately).

OMG, this will not be a 90 minute installation. I finished my installation at 7 hours. Being a retired mechanic, I work a little slower and I didn't have a lift, so I had to "bend" my body a little bit to get to things. My 2012 Ram 3500 is lifted 4 inches and I had it on jack stands. My problem was getting the kit to install using the instructions. You will need to "fish" a bolt and rectangular plate through your frame. Instructions said to use one of the larger holes to get it in the frame and then use the fish wire to position it in the proper hole. Lol, the rectangular plate is too large to fit through any of thr frame holes. With some laughter and a coat hanger, I finally got them in position using the rear of my frame as the entry point. I should have just ground down the plate to fit the holes. NEXT was the bed spacers! They are exactly the size that they should be. But you won't be able to fish them in from the side and stand them up as needed, because they are such a tight fit. With my angle grinder, I needed to angle the edges so I could pivot them in place. A slight cut on opposite ends and I was able to go from horizontal to vertical and slide the bolt through. If you have the diesel engine, you must take the rear exhaust pipe off and move a brake line (just a little).
Other than the issues stated above, the kit is well designed and I feel confident that I can pull anything up to my truck's GVW rating after installing this. I do recommend it, but forget about 90 minutes installation time as stated in the instructions. If you have a good shop and mechanic, just let them do the installation...
