CURT solid steel hitch bars are designed to fit all 2” x 2” receivers and can serve as a shank for a number of hitch-mounted components. They are constructed from hot-rolled steel to give them exceptional strength and feature rounded corners for smoother functionality and versatility. As a counterpart to our hitch bars, CURT also offers receiver tubing. These raw-finished steel tubes feature 1/2" reinforced tube collars to give them extra strength. They are available in 1 1/4", 2" and 2 1/2" receiver sizes and a variety of lengths, ranging from 6" to 48". CURT weld-on receiver tubes can be used to extend the length of your trailer hitch receiver and are able to fit any ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory with the appropriate size shank.
The CURT weld-on hitch box is a unique trailer hitch option. With its raw finish and large mounting plates, the hitch box can be welded onto a variety of vehicle and trailer frames for custom towing applications. The CURT weld-on hitch box comes with a 2" x 2" receiver tube and features a collared opening for added strength. It has a gross tow weight of 5,000 lbs. and a tongue weight capacity of 500 lbs., making it a useful towing option for many small to medium size trailers. The CURT hitch box comes with a hole for inserting a hitch pin and clip and can accept any ball mount or hitch-mounted accessory with a 2" x 2" shank.
